Volleyball - Mondays - Open to All

Join other AASC members for casual, open volleyball -- usually on Mondays with the Adventure Club -- at various parks throughout Ann Arbor.  Watch eNewsletters for information on dates and locations.

Sunday Golf Outings

These are casual fun events throughout the spring, summer and even fall when members gather at local golf courses to play 9 holes and meet at a local bar or restaurant afterwards. These outings only happen when members are willing to lead and organize the outings by setting the dates, making arrangements with the golf courses, and notifying the club at a2skiclub@gmail.com of the details. Participants RSVP to the leader and pay the golf course directly. The outings are advertised on our website calendar and eNewsletters...and leaders sometimes post the outing to the club's Facebook page. Arrangements should be made at least 3-4 weeks prior to the event to allow time for notifications and RSVPs.

AASC outings are available to members of all levels -- but we are expected to keep up with the pace of play at each golf course. New golfers may want to play a best ball or scramble format with their foursome rather than individual play.

Bike Riding & Kayaking

Many AASC members are avid bikers and love kayaking throughout the summer months. Watch for details about Wednesday night bike rides on the Lakeland Trail and gathering at the Zukey Lake Tavern afterwards; the Gilligan's Island Three-Hour Tour Canoe/Kayak day in July (registration required); and announcements of casual bike rides and get togethers to kayak throughout the summer.

Many of these weekday or weekend rides are not official AASC outings...but instead are some members deciding to meet up and spread the word about the details. If you have an idea of a bike ride, or a great place to kayak -- speak up. Being the organizer is as easy as setting the date, time and location and spreading the word. Just like a social event, we'll even help you do that on the website calendar and eNewsletters -- but remember you need to allow 3-4 days for posting to the calendar and info for the eNewsletters is due the Saturday before the eblast is distributed (now every two weeks on Mondays). And you can post on the club's Facebook page on your own.

Ann Arbor Ski Club Corn Roast

Watch for Date & Location For 2018

Don't miss our biggest event of the year — the Annual Corn roast is usually on the last Sunday of August from 1:00-6:00 p.m. (2018 date and location to be announced).

Entry fee for members and guests is $5 per person, which includes corn, hot dogs, and beverages. Please bring a dish to pass. Must be 21+ to attend. Grills and charcoal are also provided if you want to bring your own meat.

If you are willing to help with the Corn Roast -- hospitality, membership, roasting corn, food area, set up, clean up, refreshments --- please email a2skiclub@gmail.com. It takes a lot of volunteers to hold our biggest event of the year -- either 1/2 or 1 hour shifts.

WE'RE ALL VOLUNTEERS!  We are always looking/hoping that our members are willing to organize and lead an event or trip. And there's plenty of support for you when you do. If you'd like to lead an event or trip, email a2skiclub@gmail.com.
