September Meeting at UA Hall

Our next meeting is Thursday, September 11, 7-10 pm at the UA Hall.

Join us for short meeting, followed by socializing and dancing to DJ Jim, with beverages and hearty snacks. Trip sign ups for The Instructional and Terrace Inn.

Free for members, $5 for guests.

Euchre 2025-26

Euchre season begins again in just 3.5 weeks! Due to a number of factors, attendance is now largely comprised of non-club members. This was never the intent of our Euchre event; it was always intended to be a fun evening of camaraderie and socializing around a friendly and casual game of cards where one could meet fellow members who also enjoy the game.

Starting Sept 20, Euchre Night will be a Members Only event held in my home, with a new buy-in price of $5.
I will provide some very light snacks, but please eat dinner before arriving and BYOB. Please plan to pay your $5 at the door and bring quarters for euchres.

Due to space, we are limited to 19 players (4 tables w/3 sitting out per game) with sign-ups on the website beginning 2 weeks before the event. There will also be a waitlist if it is full when you try to sign up.

Please be courteous to others by cancelling your sign-up ASAP if you cannot make it; by doing so, the next person on the waitlist will automatically be moved onto the player list.

Shanty Creek, AKA the Instructional Trip (Jan 9-11, 2026) is filling up much faster than expected! Only 14 of 38 spots remain. It might fill up at the September 11 General Meeting. Reserve your spot now!

Terrace Inn 2026, has Rooms Available

In between thunder boomers, we had a good response to the Terrace Inn trip. We are currently 69% full, but still have at least one of each room type available. All available rooms are on the third floor.

Online registration is now available here. This also shows our current available inventory. If you have a particular room you want among those available, please give me a call at 734-210-9761. Of course, you can still fill out a form and mail it in, but rooms are first come, first served, so online registrations will probably win the day. We are currently looking to match up a single female and a single male. (No, not with each other.)

Waitlists

Please be sure to take advantage of our online waitlist feature for trips. This is a costless option. (I think they tell you in B school to take all costless options.) You can always turn down a trip if you are contacted to go. I really don’t understand why everyone is so hesitant to do this? It is your surest way of getting on a full trip. There are always injuries and life events that require cancellations. Don’t wait, hop online and sign up today.
