From our President: Ski trips, Annual Meeting and Elections |

We have wrapped up a very successful ski season. Many thanks
to our trip leaders: Cheryl Anderson and Greg Robertson (Sun Valley), Dan Flynn
and Ed Brambs (Banff), Lisa Salisbury and Jim Kelly (Vail). I went on the Sun
Valley and Vail trips. They were both wonderful and our trip leaders did a
great job organizing events and keeping everything running smoothly. That was
the same feedback I got from attendees on the Banff trip.
Additionally, our Michigan and cross-country ski season is
drawing to a close. Many thanks to Anne Gilbert and Greg Robertson for a
wonderful instructional weekend and Darlene Morin for putting together the ever
popular Terrace Inn combined trip. Lane Hotchkiss continues to punch above his
weight with the numerous cross country trips he coordinated.
Next year we are going to St. Antons, Mt. Bachelor and
Telluride. Signups start at the Aloha Party on Thursday, May 15. I’m already looking forward to these trips.
Our annual meeting and elections are coming up April 17.
It is important that we get a quorum (at least 50 people), so please attend if possible. We will be
going over our accomplishments and financial status from the prior fiscal year,
and electing our new board. If you have any pictures that you would like
included in the annual slide show, please send them to: newmanaasc@gmail.com no later that April
10.

Michigan!

Business Meeting & Board Elections |

Todd Newman is planning to run for re-election to a second term as president. No one else submitted their name by the deadline of March 13 (35 days prior to the election).
|
|
|
Some board members are planning to run for another term, however at least one board member will not run for re-election.
If you have questions about running for the board, or would like to be included on the election slate, please contact the election committee:
Darlene Morin, Anne Gilbert and Dennis Gonzalez.

The Ann Arbor Ski Club has a mobile app. It runs on IOS and Android. Jeff Crawford has written a nice piece on how to download the app. Members have reported problems with the app. An upgrade will correct the issue. You have to delete it from your phone, then reload. |
