About Us

The Ann Arbor Ski Club is a year-round ski, sports and social club. We organize ski trips - both downhill and cross country -- usually 3-4 trips out West, weekend trips in Northern Michigan, and sometimes in Canada. We also coordinate local Sunday afternoon snow shoe/cross country outings throughout the winter months -- or hiking if there's not enough snow. During spring and summer, we have volleyball, mountain and road biking, golf outings, summer picnics, kayaking, and weekend bike trips. The launch of our new season begins with our biggest event - the Annual Corn Roast, usually held the last Sunday in August. Our membership year runs from May 1-April 30.

Year round, we meet up for happy hours at various Ann Arbor bars and restaurants, dinner/movie nights each month, meet up to attend events in the area like the summer festivals and concerts. We also host monthly Euchre. The club meets 1-2 times per month from September through April at Cobblestone Farm in Ann Arbor as well as other locations such as Mt. Brighton. Meetings run from 7:30-10:30 p.m. and include food/snacks, refreshments (pop/water), BOYB (beer/wine only). These events are very casual. So show up at one of our meetings and get acquainted.  Many times we have a DJ at our regular meetings. Free to members and $5 entry fee for non-members/guests.  Here's a map to Cobblestone Farm.

We do offer theme parties at Halloween, Christmas and our final party of the season, the Aloha Party. These dance and social parties offer either a DJ or live band and are open to members and non-members ($5 for non-members/guests), and are our largest attended functions....besides the Corn Roast.

We are an all-volunteer, very active 40s-60s group consisting of singles and couples. While many live in the Ann Arbor area, we also have many members located throughout Southeastern Michigan.
