As of 2/22/10 10pm Sunday session is full with 48 players. Please contact Egor at yegor ieee org if you want to get on the waiting or sub list. Saturday session has 15 players of maximum 24. Please contact Linda Polo at lmpolo@aol.com if you are interested in Saturday league.
Signups (in person or by e-mail) will start at 7.30pm on February 21st (right between 6 and 7.30pm sessions of week 10) - please bring your checks to take care of it right away. No early checks or email will be accepted. Recent Sunday sessions had players on the waiting list, therefore we will continue to use the strictly scheduled sign-up procedure. I am posting this message on the February 14th and the sign-up does not start until the 21st, so please contact me for any clarifications and check here for updates before sending your information/payments.
The sign-up process would be first-come/first-serve (no preference is given to current players) and would follow one of two paths:
Remember - AASC rules allow you to ask your friend/buddy to sign you up - one per person
In-person sign up:
Give me a check (payable to AASC) and wait for email notification of your signup
Email sign up:
Step 1) Contact me (e-mail at yegor ieee org is preferred) to indicate your desire to play. In your message indicate a) what session (Sat/Sun or both) you are signing for and b) if you are a new to the league - what is your approximate NTRP rating or level of play (min of 2.5 rating required to join). Wait for my reply with further directions.
Players will receive priority for signup based on the date and time I receive the signup message (Do not contact me until 7.30PM EST 2/21/10). The first 48 players for Sunday and the first 24 players for Saturday will proceed to be registered. A waiting list will be formed for any additional players.
Step 2) Follow directions in my reply message to send the payment. After your payment is received you would get an email notification that you are signed up for the Spring 2010 tennis session.
Your payment needs to be received by the deadline (2/28/10) in order for you to keep your sign-up priority. If your payment is not received by the deadline your sign-up spot would go to the next player on the waiting list and you would be moved to the end of the waiting list.
Do not send sign-up requests or try to give me checks until after 7.30PM EST 2/21/10 and do not send your payments until you got directions to do so. Early messages or payments will be ignored or returned.
The dates for Spring 2010 sessions are:
Saturdays - 10 weeks: Feb 27-Mar 27(5) & Apr 10- May 2 (4) & May 15(1)
Sundays - 10 weeks: Feb 28-Mar 28(5) & Apr 11- May 3 (4) & May 16(1)
breaks for Easter weekend (Apr 3/4) and Mother's Day weekend (May 8/9)
The fees are $100 for AASC Members and $115 for non-members
Conflicts will be resolved in accordance with AASC Policies.

Make sure to check the web for updated League Rules and Policies before signing up. Please email Linda Polo (lmpolo aol com) for more info about the Saturdays. The checks will be sent to AASC after the session starts.
