the most popular ski resort in Michigan. 5 hours from Ann Arbor. Just
as popular is the Zoo bar for night life.

Boyne Mountain. The most
well-known area in Michigan. 4-1/2 hours from Ann Arbor. The club

Mount Brighton. 20
miles from Ann Arbor. For decades, we've had a Tuesday night weekly
instructional. This is the place to learn if you've not skied before,
or to tweak your technique before going on to bigger hills.

Nubs Nob. Across the road from
Boyne Highlands, Nubs is 5 hours from Ann Arbor.It has slightly less
terrain than the Boynes, but usually has the best snow conditions
and grooming in the state.

Schuss and Shanty Creek. In
Mancelona, Schuss and Shanty Creek have less terrain than the Boynes,
but great accommodations and food. About 4-1/2 hours from Ann Arbor.

Sugar Loaf. North of
Traverse City, Sugar Loaf has more vertical than Boyne (500') and
the well-known expert slope "Awful Awful." Closed for a
couple year, the resort has a new owner and re-opened for the 2001-2002
season. About 5 hours from Ann Arbor.

Searchmont. Called the "Rockies
of the Midwest," this is a place where you can't see the top
or the bottom of the hill when you stand in the middle. The Club has
a new-years trip here, and the racers have a 4-day weekend. 6-1/2
hours from Ann Arbor.
