The annual membership fee is $30 for a single membership or $60 for a joint membership
if you want to receive our monthly newsletter by email or $40 for a single and $70 for a joint (same address) if you want it mailed. You must be at least 21 years of age to join. This fee includes, in addition to the monthly newsletter, discounts with our sponsors such as Bivouac, Boyne Country Sport Moosejaw and more, detailed economical trip planning,
planned parties, membership to the Metropolitan Detroit Ski
Council, and more.
Annual club membership runs from September 1st
to August 31st of each year. A summer membership is available for $15
that runs from April 1 to August 31st, with the same rights and privileges
as annual membership.
The paid membership ranges from 300 to
400 people, depending on the time of year. All big clubs are
hard to feel comfortable in at first, but be persistent and
don't hesitate to introduce yourself. The general meetings attract
about 80 to 100 people, but most other activities involve smaller
groups of 15 to 50.
Remember, this club and all its events are
run by volunteers. You will meet more people and have
more fun if you also volunteer and help run activities.
