Open to the public!
The annual Corn Roast, our single biggest event of the year, is traditionally held on the last Sunday of August from 1 - 6 pm.
It's a combination Membership-drive-end-of-summer-celebration-ski-trip-rollout Jubilee, and a tradition that dates back to the club's founding.
Entry fee for members and guests is $5 per person, which includes grilled corn on the cob, hotdogs, and beverages, plus a chance to win prizes in a raffle.
May non-members attend the Corn Roast?
YES!! It's one of our favorite things!
Members bring a dish to share and guests are welcome to join with this tradition. Also, fired-up grills will be available for do-it-yourself grilling of your own non-hotdog entre.
One or more volleyball nets go up. Many members play. Some bring cards or board games to fire the competitive spirit in shady spots. These days we're likely to have a band. And, often our merchant partners in the snow sports industry-- plus others-- are invited to show off their stuff. Sometimes they bring swag!
Summer picnics are like mini-Corn Roasts-- out doors, grilling, volleyball, and catching up. We generally hold about three each summer.
Whereas Fall and Winter meetings are held in large halls and everyone is encouraged to attend and many do, Summer meetings are smaller affairs-- committees forming and pushing forward the new year's agenda.
